Which My Hero Academia Character Are You? | MHA Quiz Guide

My Hero Academia is a story about what heroism actually costs. Not the power โ€” the *person*. The gap between wanting to be a hero and becoming one. The weight of inherited ability. The question of whether you can separate yourself from your origins when your origins are physically written into your body.

Class 1-A is full of people answering that question differently, and the MHA character quiz is designed to find out which student's path looks most like yours.

The Five Characters

Izuku Midoriya (Deku) โ€” The Prepared One

Deku is the character you get if your approach to any problem involves preparation, pattern recognition, and genuine empathy that sometimes outruns your judgment. He spent years studying heroes before he had a quirk โ€” filling notebooks with observations โ€” because the analysis was the only way he could participate in a world that had told him he didn't belong.

Getting Deku means you are the person in any room who is quietly taking notes. You are driven by a gap between who you are and who you need to become, and that gap motivates you rather than crushing you. Your empathy is enormous. You cry at things that don't warrant crying, and that is not a flaw.

The Deku result asks: are you letting yourself receive help, or only giving it?

Katsuki Bakugo โ€” The Driven One

Bakugo is the character you get if your drive is absolute and your ego is armor. He was told he was exceptional before he understood what that meant, and when the guarantee of exceptional started slipping, the person underneath had to figure out who he was.

Getting Bakugo doesn't mean you're cruel โ€” it means your standards are uncompromising, that you're allergic to anything that looks like complacency, and that the aggression is about excellence rather than cruelty. The growth Bakugo does across the series is among the most meaningful in the show, precisely because he does it without ever losing the core of what he is.

The Bakugo result asks: can you let people see the care that's underneath the explosions?

Shoto Todoroki โ€” The Integrated One

Todoroki is the character you get if you arrived carrying more history than any one person should have to carry, and you've spent years deciding what to do with it. His power is both enormous and tainted, in his own mind, by where it came from โ€” and his arc is about learning to use all of himself, not just the half he claimed as his own.

Getting Todoroki means you are reserved in ways people read as coldness, that your past has shaped your present in ways that are still active, and that the warmth underneath the reserve is genuine and just needs room to exist.

The Todoroki result asks: which parts of yourself are you still refusing to use?

Ochaco Uraraka โ€” The Grounded One

Uraraka is the character you get if your warmth is real and your ambition is fiercer than people expect. She became a hero for concrete, practical reasons โ€” she wanted to earn money to support her family โ€” and those reasons are sometimes treated as less heroic than the abstract ideals. But there is nothing more honest than wanting to use your power to change real conditions for real people.

Getting Uraraka means you are more strategically capable than you get credit for, that the cheerfulness is a choice you make rather than your default state, and that you are slowly learning to direct your energy toward your own goals instead of just supporting everyone else's.

The Uraraka result asks: when did you last do something purely for yourself?

Tenya Iida โ€” The Principled One

Iida is the character you get if you actually believe in the rules, not because you're rigid but because you've thought through what happens when structures disappear. He is the class representative. He runs toward responsibility. He is the person everyone calls when things need to be organized.

Getting Iida means your reliability is structural, not situational, that you hold yourself to high standards because you believe those standards protect others, and that your growth has involved learning to hold your principles and your grief in the same hands without either one destroying the other.

The Iida result asks: can you give yourself the same grace you extend to the people you protect?

How the Quiz Works

The My Hero Academia quiz uses 8 questions that explore different dimensions of how you approach heroism, failure, teamwork, and identity. Each question has one answer mapped to each of the five outcomes โ€” but the quiz is designed so that every answer is one a real person might honestly give.

The best results come when you answer based on who you actually are, not who you think you should be. Bakugo would tell you that's the only way to get a true answer.
